After a typical 20 minute treadmill jaunt at my gym, when I jumped off the machine and looked around can you guess what I saw? Women, young and old: I was surrounded by women with no men in sight.
I thought it was nothing but coincidence, maybe it was the spin class (of only women) to the side of the treadmills was too distracting.
And then I looked behind me (where the dumbells and pull up bars are located) and found plenty of guys were indeed not in hiding.
What kind of gender barrier is in place where women feel they shouldn't work their upper body while men are expected to forgo toning their lower bodies?
Take Yoga for instance, myself and a good friend of mine are the only men I have EVER seen in any Yoga class.
