Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays everyone. The Healthy Wellness Club has been hard at work uncovering the truth about News Years resolutions, and why they so often become nothing more than a yearly fad.

Why do so many people start off the new year with renewed hopes, dreams and aspirations only to give up months, weeks or worse: days later? I can't truthfully say that this is simply a health issue, but a deeper sociological dilemma. Much like the fish who swim in a school, many people are afraid to deviate from an established path carved out by peers.

There isn't necessarily anything wrong with this, but in order for a resolution to be truly effective maybe we should examine the timing of such self-made "promises".

What do you folks think? Is timing all that critical, or is there another underlying reason why New Years Resolutions stay unresolved? Lets have your thoughts either here, or in the Wellness Club Forums.

Stay tuned for this concept to be fully fleshed out and turned upside down, just in time for the holidays! Only at The Healthy Wellness Club.

Hot Chocolate is Good For You!

Happy Holidays everybody!

Every year at about this time, I start to let my sweet tooth take over by replacing my daily coffee with a hot cup of cocoa.

But here's something not everybody knows: as long as that cup of hot chocolate isn't heavily processed with sugar, chances are it's chock full of antioxidants. It can even help against memory loss!

So remember your Christmas cheer this holiday season and don't forget the marshmallows!!

Merry Christmas!

Wet Feet!

Wow yesterday was unbelivable! Temperature was -15, then windchill and I was outside working in the snow with wet cold feet all day!

Hopefully Santa will bring me some insulated workboots this year!

Funny how we can be conscious of so many factors that affect our health, but sometimes forget the little things, like making sure you dry your boots before work!!

Networking

I've begun seeing a little more buzz around The Healthy Wellness Club's main site. I think this has something to do with the articles I've been releasing to ezinearticles and Squidoo.

Now, not only will The Healthy Wellness Club remain the primary article release point, but once they have been public for a month or more, I've decided to release them to secondary article sites. I think this will continue to spread the word, and get more people involved in T.H.W.C. and its' development.

Please feel free to drop by The Wellness Forums and give your two cents!

Tricking Your Brain into Eating Less

I've always wondered if there was a way to geniunly fool yourself into thinking your full before you eat too much.

It's so simple it blew my mind: water. That's it. Before any meal just have a glass of water and by staying hydrated allows you to easily avoid overrating!

The Worlds Easiest Workout

Fat, muscle toning, and reducing stress are desires we all have in common right? Right!

What if there was one simple excercise that only took 20 minutes a day, 3 days a week to address all those concerns? Would you do it? Yoga has helped millions of people in the U.S alone while it easily melts stress away and helps tone your muscles.

Exercise and the Gender Barrier

Last week at the gym was a real eye opener for me.

After a typical 20 minute treadmill jaunt at my gym, when I jumped off the machine and looked around can you guess what I saw? Women, young and old: I was surrounded by women with no men in sight.

I thought it was nothing but coincidence, maybe it was the spin class (of only women) to the side of the treadmills was too distracting.

And then I looked behind me (where the dumbells and pull up bars are located) and found plenty of guys were indeed not in hiding.

What kind of gender barrier is in place where women feel they shouldn't work their upper body while men are expected to forgo toning their lower bodies?

Take Yoga for instance, myself and a good friend of mine are the only men I have EVER seen in any Yoga class.

What A Day

Well, it's been quite an interesting few days for myself and my computer. Seems it wasn't as thirsty as my pup thought it was, and it apparently isn't that fond of coffee as I am. Needless to say, my daily upkeep for the Articles Archive within The Healthy Wellness Clubs' site was stymied.

The show however: must go on! I have nearly completed the Get Fit Now! section (soon to be) covering nearly every aspect of yoga and fitness have to offer. The archive is getting pretty full however, and would welcome any ideas on how to better organize quicker viewing.

Be well everybody!
